We are so familiar with “words” but did you know what is word ?

Word is the smallest segment of speech that can be used alone, or smallest segment of language. or

Word is a single unit of language that has meaning and can be spoken or written. That the word is a genuine linguistic unit is scareely questioned, and every one seents to know what it is. When we read, we recognize word by the white space between them

Let us begin with the act of specch. When people are speaking, they often pause-formulating their thoughts, gettingone sentence structure in order, and groping for the right word.
